I never quit writing. I just stopped sharing.

But staring at the vision board of this jacket — created by Destiny Oliphant — changed things. It was a constant reminder of the cry inside me.

My writing continued. I have pages full in journals, because the enemy can't silence what's in you unless you let him.

I didn't let him take my writing. But I did let him creep in and convince me to stop sharing it.

My pen is on blast again. And in the void or not, I will shout.

Never Silent

I'm never silent during storms, I turn all the way up
I tell my problems about my God — we're both fed up

See, when I tell my problems who is God,
They get put on notice,
Notified their eviction is coming

Don't worry about anything,
Instead pray about
EVERYTHING

The pen is back. The voice is back. And if you've been quiet too — maybe it's time.

If this resonated, Belly of the Beast has more of this — the storms, the faith, the poems that come out of the deep places. Get the book!

If it’s one thing I know, it’s how to bend. Whether it’s people people-ing or life life-ing, I’ve experienced heart ache and pain, (who hasn’t) but I’ve also experienced God’s amazing grace, provision, protection to say the least. And that’s what I write about, the fight and the rainbows!
